Modern Upholstery

20th Century pieces, particularly mid-century furniture can be of great quality with strong shapes, but sometimes lack impact and need to be reworked for a modern environment

We recreate heirloom pieces to look as they were intended, or we can reinterpret auction buys into striking individual pieces to suit your style. We can add decorative elements through tailoring, stitching, buttoning and fluting

We will discuss how to make your piece comply with UK fire retardant standards

Consultation

We'll discuss how you would like the finished piece to look and feel, and the situation where it will be used

Planning and rebuilding

We'll strip the piece back. There may be original elements which can be re-used, or we may start from scratch and completely redesign an item to suit your home. The choice is yours

Exacting and Precise Results

The springing and stuffings used in midcentury furniture tend to be very different from traditional pieces. Imagination and careful tailoring will give your piece the edge
